The Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) addresses recent social media discussions regarding the Nigeria women’s basketball team, the D’Tigress, missing the Paris Olympics opening ceremony due to lack of prior briefing from the Nigerian Olympic Committee (NOC) and Sports Ministry. With only 41 of Nigeria’s 88-strong contingent allotted spots for the march past, the team was informed too late and faced logistical issues. The NBBF remains committed to ensuring strong representation at the Games.
