The Nasarawa state Governortorial candidate under the platform of National Rescue Movement (NRM), Alhaji Abubakar Musa Sambo has debunked a rumors marking round that he has stepdown for any political party candidate ahead of March 18 elections.
He debunked the insinuations in a press briefing hold at, Ibrahim Abacha Youth Center (AYC), Lafia the capital city of Nasarawa state.
" I Alhaji Abubakar Musa Sambo,Gubernatorial Candidate of NRM in Nasarawa State.I am happy to address you this morning over an important issue concerning my aspiration to the position of Governor in Nasarawa state.He acknowledged.
He added that the press conference has become necessary in order to set the record straight in regards to a video clip that has gone viral on various social media platforms as well as some conventional media stations to the effect that he has jettisoned his ambition and have stepped down for the Gubernatorial Candidate of the PDP,Hon David Umbugadu.
"I would like to state categorically and for the records that this is not true I remain and still in the contest for the governorship election come March 18, 2023.
The NRM governorship candidate described the news as not only fake but also unfounded and malicious being spread by politicians who are desperate to achieve their political goals through whatever means possible.
"I wish to also state that I have been approached by various leading political parties in the state on the possibility of withdrawing from the race and to support their respective Governorship candidates and StateAssembly elections in the state.
He stated.
He said his yet to make decision on the matter, Just as he pointed out that he inform his supporters and people of the state his final stand.
Alhaji Sambo used the medium to thanked his teeming supporters, party officials both at ward to the National Level for their unflinching support to his aspiration.
"Let me also thank the coordinators from the ward to the zona level as well as members of my Campaign Council in the state cherish this support.
