In a statement signed by Hon. Muhammad Baba Shehu, the Executive Chairman of Keffi Local Government Area, the curfew previously imposed from 6pm to 6am has been officially suspended with immediate effect.

This decision was made after thorough consultations with security agencies in Keffi, who analyzed data on the recent national hunger protest and advised that there is currently no cause for alarm.

Hon. Shehu expressed his appreciation to the Governor of Nasarawa State, Abdullahi Sule, for his ongoing moral support, as well as to the federal and state governments and security agencies for their effective management of the protest in accordance with relevant laws.

He also extended his gratitude to His Royal Highness, the Emir of Keffi, for his leadership during the protest.

The council commended the people of Keffi for their maturity and restraint during the protest, despite challenges caused by a few miscreants.

Hon. Shehu also conveyed the council's regret for any inconvenience the curfew may have caused to innocent citizens, and assured that security agencies will remain vigilant for any suspicious activities as the situation develops.
