In a significant development, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the takeover and conversion of the Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital in Lafia into the Federal University of Lafia Teaching Hospital.
This decision follows a request made by the Nasarawa State Government, aiming to enhance medical education and healthcare services in the region.
The conversion of the Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital into a federal teaching hospital is expected to greatly improve the training opportunities for students in medical and allied sciences. Moreover, it will strengthen healthcare delivery across Nasarawa State, ensuring better access to quality medical services for its residents.
President Tinubu has reaffirmed his commitment to improving social welfare and healthcare security for all Nigerians. His administration continues to prioritize investments in the healthcare sector to meet the nation's growing demands.
